Abstract

The importance of improving the professional self-development of class teachers on the problem of preventing bullying among students is due to the fact that the class teacher is constantly in interaction with the class team and each student in particular, as well as the closest connection and familiarity with the family atmosphere of each student. The class teacher takes care of the all-round development of students, education in them of hard work, collectivism, improvement of academic performance and strengthening of discipline, preparation for work. At different stages of the team's development, specific educational tasks are put forward and, relying on the student team, various educational means of working with the class and with individual students are carried out. The authority of the class teacher is important for the growth of the teacher's professionalism, that is, the degree of recognition by students and their parents of their competence, personal characteristics, qualities and spiritual values. This acts as a kind of consolidating factor that affects the relationships in the class and parent team. Considerable attention was paid to the coverage of the program of the seminar "Forms and methods of preventing bullying among teenagers" for class teachers in order to increase professional self-development on the problem of preventing bullying among teenagers. These classes provided for teachers to acquire knowledge and skills to work with children and their parents on this problem. During the seminar for class teachers, there was a joint development of the plan and content, the selection of forms and methods of conducting extracurricular activities, in particular, educational hours with children of primary school and teenage age and parent meetings for parents of schoolchildren, as well as the forms and methods of their implementation were determined. Directed class teachers to personally oriented interaction with children and parents, emphasizing its importance for the successful achievement of the set goal - prevention of bullying among teenagers. In order to activate class teachers, such forms of education as conversation-dispute, lecture-consultation, business games, round-table discussions, briefings, individual face-to-face and extramural (with the help of the Internet) consultations were introduced into the content of work with them. Appropriate literature was recommended for independent study.
