Abstract
An important prerequisite for the development of Ukrainian society is the involvement of future primary school teachers in experimental and inventive activities. The need to improve the level of scientific training is a main feature of modernity in any field of human activity. The article is devoted to the study of the problem of identifying and generalizing the didactic potential of psychological and pedagogical disciplines for the formation of research skills in future primary school teacher. It is determined that the main task of professional training of future teachers is the formation of their professional and pedagogical skills, which is a complex process that is carried out throughout the entire period of training in institutions of higher pedagogical education and includes social and humanitarian, psychological and pedagogical, professional and practical training. Training involves that the future teachers’ need to gain theoretical knowledge of fundamental disciplines of specialties and specializations, specialized courses and methods of teaching school subjects and have practical abilities and skills which are necessary for the implementation of professional pedagogical activity. In general, the concept of research competence of future primary school teachers, which is considered as the basis of knowledge of the surrounding world, the study of its objects, phenomena and processes, is among the key competencies, the most important ability of a person to self-knowledge, to solve problems, to responsibly choose strategies for behavior and activity. The authors came to the conclusion that for the successful formation of research competence of future primary school teachers, it is necessary to involve future teachers in active scientific work at the early stages of training, which allows creating opportunities for the formation of key competencies necessary for readiness for future professional mobility; to attract future primary school teachers to work in research laboratories, scientific seminars, scientific conferences, competitions, which contributes to immersion in research activities from the first days of training; providing an opportunity to publish the results of your own research.
