Abstract

The importance of the career guidance problem as a social phenomenon lies in the need to overcome the contradiction between the objective needs of society for a balanced personnel structure and the subjective professional aspirations of young people. The career guidance system should contribute to the effective distribution of labor resources, the choice of a professional path by young people and its adaptation to the chosen specialty. The modern economy requires rapid and adequate adaptation of graduates of professional educational institutions to the conditions of the labor market. Contradictions between the needs of the market and the level of professional training, the insufficient qualification of specialists and their unsuitability to the requirements of the labor market cause an increase in unemployment among graduates.
