Abstract
The theses consider the essence of the concepts "differentiation" and "differentiate". It is emphasized that the application of differentiation in the teaching of the Ukrainian language involves division, fragmentation, distribution, classification based on the material of the content component of the educational process, diversity and variability in the implementation of the organizational component. It is noted that the selection of forms and methods of educational activities, educational tasks and exercises is carried out taking into account the specifics of the class, group, pair or individual student. It is appropriate to take into account the individual characteristics of each student and the differences between the students of education, to identify identical or similar characteristics of the students of the class. The forms and types of differentiation are described in detail, the application of which is useful for mastering the Ukrainian language as the state language at a high level. Factors affecting the effectiveness of learning the Ukrainian language in conditions of multilingualism are listed.
