Abstract

Educational losses among German schoolchildren caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and their impact on educational inequality are analyzed. It is shown that long-term distance learning negatively affected the quality of education, especially among socio-economically vulnerable groups. Considered the reaction of the educational system, in particular, the implementation of monitoring the quality of education and participation in international assessments; the importance of comprehensive programs to overcome these losses and ensure equal access to education is emphasized.
