Abstract
The article examines the issue of the formation of the content of educational components of the civic and historical educational field in the context of the requirements of the State Standard of specialized secondary education. It is noted that one of the main tasks of specialized training is the maximally complete satisfaction of cognitive interests and educational needs of education seekers, which are determined by their future life plans and professional orientations. This approach primarily provides the opportunity for students to freely choose the content of their studies. The article presents the results of an online survey of teachers of history, civic education, and legal studies in general secondary education institutions regarding the structure and content of the educational components of the civic and historical educational field of specialized secondary education. Methods of forming the content of the educational components of the civic and historical educational field of specialized secondary education are proposed. It is emphasized that the mandatory and optional educational components of the civic and historical educational field are implemented through special courses, optional courses, electives. It is noted that training in profiled special courses/subjects and optional courses should bring students closer to understanding the intricacies of a certain profession, provide an opportunity to test oneself in the profession before finally choosing it/making an informed decision. In view of this, the development of independence, the ability to conduct research and the readiness to cooperate are of exceptional importance. Accordingly, there is a growing need for the full implementation of effective educational technologies, in particular, research and project-based learning. The article emphasizes that the conducted research does not exhaust all aspects of the problem of forming the content of educational components of the civic and historical educational field of specialized secondary education. Prospects for further research consist in the study of the methodological foundations of the construction of model curricula and educational literature on subjects/special courses/elective courses/electives. An important problem is the development of a system for evaluating the educational achievements of students in the educational components of the civic and historical educational field of specialized secondary education.
