Abstract

The curriculum was created on the basis of the model curriculum for grades 6-9 "Geography" by the author's team (Zapototskyi S.P. and others, including scientific staff of the department Nazarenko T.G., Yatsenko V.S. and Groma V. D.). The content of the program indicates the number of hours for each section and indexes of the State Standard of Secondary Education. The program defines the formation of students' subject competences and cross-cutting skills. The list of types of educational activities characterizes the activity approach and reveals the importance of digital applications for conducting educational geographical research. Updated cartographic sources of information, including digital ones. Methodological recommendations for evaluating the learning outcomes of 7th-grade students of general secondary education institutions are presented.
