Abstract
The basic component of preschool education is the state standard, which defines the requirements for mandatory competencies and educational results of a child of preschool age (6 (7) years), as well as the conditions under which they can be achieved in accordance with international standards of education quality. The purpose of the Standard is to preserve the self-worth of preschool childhood, to determine the characteristics and requirements for the level of development, education and upbringing of a preschool child, to ensure continuity between preschool and primary education.
