Abstract

The article highlights the results of the methodological seminar of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine “Preschool education in the context of the ideas of the New Ukrainian School”, which was held on October 30,2020. The purpose of the seminar was to discuss the strategic issues of preschool education and science. The main areas of work: continuity in the development of preschool and primary education; didactic and educational aspects of modern preschool education in the context of the New Ukrainian School; foreign experience in organizing preschool education; pre-service training of preschool specialists in the context of the ideas of the New Ukrainian School; psychological and pedagogical support of preschool child development. The event was organized by the Subcommittee on Early Development and Preschool Education of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Committee on Education, Science and Innovations, National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine, Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, All-Ukrainian Association of Preschool Education Workers. Among the participants of the conference were leading researchers, academic staff, representatives of preschool education.
