Abstract
The question of the essence and content of the correction of thinking of older preschool children is considered, which is complicated by the fact that brain-impaired children are widespread, diffuse. It is found that the violations have a total character: not only in cognitive processes, but in the emotional-volitional sphere and in the sphere of personality formation. It is concluded that the correction of thinking of older preschool children with impaired intellectual development is a purposeful correction, differentiated learning and education with psychotherapeutic effect, maximum stimulation of all mental operations. Specific principles and basic methods of correction are revealed.
