Abstract
The article analyses the Finnish model of education as one of the most successful in the world in the context of modernizing the system of future primary school teachers’ training. It is proved that the need to implement the Law of Ukraine “On Education” in the domestic education system, the concept of “New Ukrainian School”, the State Standard of Primary Education, the Concept of Pedagogical Education requires focusing on forming students’ readiness for integrated learning while training future primary school teachers in pedagogical colleges in particular. An analysis of domestic and foreign scientific publications showed that the relevance of such research is due to the need to take into account trends related to the development of primary education in the EU and the development of professional training of primary school teachers in the European Higher Education Area as well as the need to modernize the domestic primary education system and to train future teachers who can provide it. It was found that the development of primary education in the EU and Finland is characterized by integration into modern standards of content of subjects by combining them into modules, integrated blocks, broad educational areas; professional training of future primary school teachers in the European Higher Education Area is aimed at strengthening the integration of theoretical disciplines, increasing attention to methodological training and pedagogical practice. In the EU, there is a trend towards the transition in the training of primary school teachers from bachelor’s to master’s level. To solve these problems, the requirements for educational programs for teachers’ training, necessary for the implementation of the Concept of state policy in the field of reforming general secondary education “New Ukrainian School”, should be reviewed.
