Abstract
The article carries out a theoretical and methodological analysis of formation of applicants’ for education global competence in conditions of modern challenges. Conceptual and categorical apparatus of the research was determined, in particular the terms "competence", "global competence", "global education", "developing training", "legal education", "conflictology", "multicultural education”, "civic education", "environmental education". It was noted that according to PISA normative documents, the term "global competence" is identified with multidimensional competence with formed abilities: 1) analysis of challenges at local, global and cultural levels; 2) understanding and valuing other people’s positions and worldview; 3) participation in open, appropriate and productive interaction between cultures; 4) carrying out activities aimed at ensuring collective well-being and sustainable development of society. Education for global competence has been proven to be based on ideas from different models of global education, such as intercultural education, global citizenship education, and democratic citizenship education. Ukrainian and world experience in formation of applicants’ for education global competence has been studied. Based on the analysis, a number of tasks necessary for teachers to organize and conduct high-quality training with the aim of forming applicants’ for education global competence were identified: to identify interesting topics of local and global importance; focus on global competency outcomes; use project technologies; use ongoing competency-based global assessments. It was established that four dimensions of global competence are supported by four inseparable factors: knowledge, skills, attitudes and values. It is detailed that study of a global problem requires knowledge of a specific issue, skills to transform this awareness into a deeper understanding, as well as attitudes and values to reflect on the problem from multiple cultural perspectives, taking into account the interests of all parties involved.
