Abstract

The article presents the author's version of the scientific biography of Stanislav Dovhyi, a prominent Ukrainian educator, scientist, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. The article presents the author's version of the scientific biography of Stanislav Dovhyi, a prominent Ukrainian educator, scientist, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine. In line with the global trend in biography, the attention is focused on highlighting his human personality in intersubjective interaction with contemporaries. The article outlines the milestones of S. Dovhyi's scientific and educational activities, his scientific achievements in the problematic field of Ukrainian education, in particular in such areas as extracurricular education (organisation and management of the Minor Academy of Sciences of Ukraine), museum pedagogy (organisation of the first science museums in Ukraine), and scientific education (development and dissemination of the concept of scientific education). The authors reveal the connection between the scientist's scientific and technical research, in particular in the field of information and communication technologies, and his innovative contribution to the development of Ukrainian out-of-school science education.
