The article examines the modernization of the education system in Ukraine within the context of its integration into the economic, political, and socio-cultural framework of the European Union. This accelerated path is facilitated by the active development of scientific education, focused on research to discover the new and generate novel values. The article emphasizes that contemporary life necessitates a fundamental ability to pose and resolve problems, imbuing knowledge with practical significance. The author contends that economic education is the principal catalyst for these changes, leading to the acquisition of valuable knowledge. The orientation of economic education towards attaining practical knowledge facilitates the adaptation of individuals to the dynamics of a changing world, fostering practical thinking, creative aptitudes, and the cultivation of skills in utilizing modern technologies across various spheres of social and economic activities. An important indicator of economic education, as emphasized in the article, is the transition of the education system towards a practical-oriented dual learning model, which involves theoretical preparation within educational institutions and practical training within the realm of production or businesses. The specificity of economic education is linked to enriching the individual and the content of the contemporary social landscape. This situation demands a new social archetype, the general traits of which impact the economic and social development of society. In the creation of the modern world, as underscored in the article, useful knowledge has played a direct role, with sources rooted in intellectual shifts that have given rise to technological innovations, material prosperity, and social benefits as the foundation of contemporary civilization.
