Abstract

Today, the problem of design in the educational sphere covers a wide range of different definitions and the need to systematize the conceptual and terminological apparatus, so it is the construction of the conceptual apparatus that provides the study with the necessary properties of orderliness, harmony and unambiguity of the use of the language of pedagogical science. The article reviews and summarizes the work of scientists on the essential characteristics of such basic concepts as project, design, and pedagogical design, which are actively used in the process of project activities in the educational sphere. The project is considered as the goal and result of design and design activity. The material of projects is a variety of symbolic forms: theories, models, concepts, formulas, algorithms, etc., and the activity theory is an instrumental system for designing in various spheres of human life. The main ideas of classical design, which are the basis of pedagogical design, can be summarized as follows: design is a controlled process that is a system with a complex internal structure; the external environment has a huge impact on the effectiveness of design; controlled design activity includes variable and nonvariable components; the basis of design is a systematic approach; design efficiency is considered as the ratio of effort and result. Pedagogical design is a specific type of activity aimed at creating a project.
