Abstract

The book is the first monographic work, both in Ukraine and abroad, that is specially dedicated to the problem of public opinion on education and the ways in which it is developed. The coverage of this problem is carried out based on the unique monitoring data collected since the beginning of the 2000s by the Institute of Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine under the author’s leadership. At the same time, considerable attention is paid to the phenomenon of public opinion as such, to the disclosure of its essence, and to the discussions that have been going on around it for more than a decade. Actually, the book begins with a critical analysis of these discussions’ content. The work is addressed to scientists whose areas of research are related to the problems of public opinion and the development of education, to education workers, and to all those who may be interested in these problems.
