Abstract

For more than six years, psychologists have been working in cooperation with the National Council of Ukraine on Television and Radio Broadcasting to establish co-regulation and support self-regulatory processes in the media space related to ensuring greater child protection. In 2012, a working group was created that brings together specialists of various profiles - lawyers, journalists, heads of media groups, representatives of the media community, and academics - who join forces to create the best conditions for children's health and development and reduce media risks. This working group analyzes international experience, studies the results of domestic scientific media psychology research, in particular those regularly conducted by the Laboratory of Mass Communication Psychology and Media Education of the Institute of Social and Political Psychology of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, some of which are included in the annual reports of the National Council (in 2012).
