Abstract
The article actualizes the problem of continuous self-improvement of pedagogical workers of educational institutions as an important condition for their development in the system of postgraduate pedagogical education. The directions and content of the process of improving the qualifications of these specialists are revealed in the context of ensuring the continuity of their professional growth and self-development in the conditions of open education. The author of the article revealed the important role of postgraduate education as one of the links of continuous education that complements and expands basic professional education, creates a creative environment for self-development and self-improvement.
