Abstract

The composition and dimensions of the influence of possible factors on the formation of the health of the population indicate that, despite the importance of quality and access to medical care, the decisive factor in this process is the way of life. The health promotion strategy proposed by the WHO more than a decade ago involves giving individual individuals and groups of individuals the ability to control the factors that shape health. The strategy is based on the principles of caring for everyone's health; joint actions to help others; healthy environment. This is an example of an interdisciplinary, cross-industry approach to solving the problem, and its implementation requires the participation of broad sections of society, strengthening the work of health care services, and the active involvement of educators. Along with the strengthening of the preventive focus of domestic medicine, there is an urgent need to raise the level of education, which is recognized as the best way to create a healthy (physically and mentally) society. And it is the systematic approach to solving the problem at all levels that will allow, even with pessimistic demographic forecasts, to ensure the preservation of Ukraine's human capital in the conditions of war and post-war recovery.
