Abstract
In the extremely difficult period of wartime, it is important to pay attention to the psychological state of all participants in the educational process, establish effective communication, reduce the level of anxiety, provide the necessary assistance, etc. Children with special educational needs are the most vulnerable category among education seekers who need special support and attention. It is important to provide appropriate training for teachers who provide such support. On May 22, 2024, the Mykola Yarmachenko Institute of Special Pedagogy and Psychology of NAES of Ukraine (Department of Education of Children with Sensory Development Disorders, Department of Ukrainian Sign Language) organised a scientific and practical seminar ‘"Designing a Psychologically Comfortable Space in an Educational Institution in Wartime Conditions" as part of the All-Ukrainian Festival of Science. The purpose of the event was to reveal the peculiarities of using psychological technologies that will contribute to the resilience of teachers, parents, family members of children with special educational needs, as well as their stability and resource interaction with children under martial law. The target audience was psychologists and teachers of special educational institutions for children with hearing impairments, inclusive groups and classes, and inclusive resource centres (IRCs).
