Abstract
The relevance of the review study is due to the need to understand the essence and conceptual and terminological apparatus of the study of consulting activities in the institution of higher education in conditions of uncertainty against the background of socio-economic crises. Modern processes of globalization have a significant and ambiguous influence on the formation of a new multipolar picture of the world. Consulting activities in the higher education system of Ukraine have expanded from professional training to solving problems in educational institution management, labor relations, service in state authorities, social security, etc. The rapid growth of consulting services is emphasized, which determines the development of consulting activities, which precedes significant losses caused by mistakes made by managers in management activities, etc. The essence of consulting activity in a higher education institution has been considered and revealed. A scientific and theoretical analysis of consulting activity in a higher education institution was carried out, the main requirements for implementation were determined. The main functions of consulting in institutions of higher education are highlighted. The areas of cooperation between consulting companies and higher education institutions are characterized. The article emphasizes the importance of management consulting in modern educational activities of the manager of a higher education institution, especially in the context of global challenges, such as internationalization, mobility, democratization, diversification, etc. The essence of consulting management in education, which is aimed at improving the quality of management activity, is a reliable mechanism for meeting the needs of subjects of educational activity and ensuring the competitiveness of higher education institutions. The difficulties and contradictions inherent in the formation of the informational and advisory environment of the institution of higher education and the development of consulting activities in the system of higher education are singled out.
