Abstract
The article analyzes and highlights the main approaches to the formulation, definition and development of scientific and methodological competence on the basis of teachers’ professiograms in postgraduate pedagogical education, including mentors, conceptualizes principles, approaches and technologies of their training with the formed competence of formation and development synergy. Two-sidedness of the mentoring process is determined, an intern is identified with a person for the first time appointed to the position of a teacher without practical experience of pedagogical activity; teacher-mentor is identified with a teaching employee whose experience of pedagogical activity is not less than five years in the relevant specialty (same or related subject specialty or specialization), and whose purpose is to support pedagogical activity of a teaching employee during the first year of professional activity. The definition of the concept of “professional scientific and methodological competence of a mentor” is formulated, which we consider as an integral characteristic that includes high quality work, a high level of professionalism and professional competence, characterized by sufficient experience in a particular field and productive socio-pedagogical participation in key corporate competencies and industry values for beginners – young people. The professional profile of the mentor in postgraduate pedagogical education with the characteristic of features of professional training, conceptualization of system qualities, knowledge, abilities, maturity, readiness, responsibility and conformity is developed. Scientific and methodological tools for mentoring have been updated through the definition of principles, approaches, types of mentoring in education, techniques and leading roles of mentors. The types of competencies of a mentor (professional and psychological-pedagogical, scientific-methodical, general cultural, self-educational, ethical-aesthetic), main activities of the pedagogical internship are analyzed and singled out.
