Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of psych traumatic consequences of war in children with special educational needs. The influence of war on the mental health of this vulnerable category of children and the peculiarities of their perception of stressors caused by traumatic events are theoretically substantiated. The analysis of domestic and international research in the field of psychology, special psychology, neuropsychology, and medicine was carried out. The authors consider the problem from different positions, paying attention to the individual characteristics of children with disorders of intelligence, sensory development, musculoskeletal system. Scientists have proven the negative long-term impact of PTSD on the personality of children. It is emphasized that such children most often show symptoms of depression and anxiety, psychosomatics, isolation, confusion, loss of security, etc. A conclusion was made about the need for immediate, targeted and effective interventions immediately after a trauma or crisis in order to reduce acute stress reactions, it was emphasized the mandatory implementation of preventive and therapeutic measures, the strengthening of social support for the return to normal functioning of children who have experienced a traumatic experience, as well as in order to reduce the risk of PTSD symptoms in the future. The results of this study can be useful for specialists in the field of psychology, pedagogy, as well as for practicing psychologists and teachers who work with children with special educational needs.
