Abstract
Collective trauma is what our society is experiencing now - personal shock experiences that are perceived not as unique, but as shared with a large number of people. Collective trauma cannot be simply dismissed, it takes root in the collective consciousness, threatens security, order, the usual course of life and life itself. It causes a sense of danger, crisis and chaos that destabilizes the entire social system and affects all citizens and subgroups. It is a crisis that destroys the usual framework of life in such a way that it cannot be restored.
