Abstract

One of the problems of the effective functioning of the human resources mechanism of the economy is the divergence of the interests of business, the state, and educational institutions. The discrepancy in the popularity rating of specialties leads to the fact that those seeking education, when choosing a future profession, do not take into account the factor of further employment. In this case, a situation of supply and demand imbalance appears on the labor market: an oversupply of some professions and a shortage of others. The market of educational services cannot fully satisfy the demand of employers and respond promptly to changes occurring in the labor market. Hence, different assessments of the quality of training in educational institutions, on the one hand, and employers, on the other. Taking into account the peculiarities of modern economic processes, which require vocational training to be an equal player in the labor and educational services markets, it is necessary to balance the professional and qualification demand for educational services in accordance with the requirements of the modern labor market.
