Abstract
This article highlights the relevance of the pedagogical heritage of the scientist, educator, and public figure Oleksandr Muzychenko (1875–1937) in the context of the implementation of constructive ideas in the modern educational space of Ukraine. This article analyzes O. Muzychenko’s views on the essence of the structural components of the pedagogical skills of a teacher of the Ukrainian school of the early twentieth century: an expressive harmonious worldview; the presence of perfect professional and personal qualities; a high level of general and pedagogical culture. The scientist considered the development of a high level of erudition, education, and readiness for self-improvement to be the basis for an appropriate level of pedagogical action. He associated the teacher's skill with mastery of innovative methods and technologies of active and creative learning, in particular: a comprehensive methodology (studying phenomena in relationship; encouraging independent research of reality); method of conducting excursions (arousing a sense of beauty from communication with nature); method of aesthetic education (method of dramatization, which involves the development of the child's ability to perceive life in and through action; method of detailing, which consists of developing the ability to perceive phenomena in all manifestations and details; method of Among the leading professional qualities, he emphasized the ability to pedagogical communication as a dialogue between teacher and student, and perfect pedagogical action. He associated the personal qualities of a master teacher with such properties as love for children, kindness, humanity, pedagogical tact, and teaching talent. It is emphasized that Muzychenko’s conclusions about the pedagogical skills of a Ukrainian school teacher have not lost their relevance, agree with the principles of building a modern type of school, and can be used in the process of forming a master teacher
