Abstract

Profile secondary education is defined as the third level of complete general education and can be obtained in general secondary educational institutions of the III (II–III, I–III) level (academic, professional lyceums), institutions of professional (professional and technical), professional pre-higher, higher education and specialized institutions of profile secondary education in artistic, sports, military or scientific fields (Law of Ukraine “On Complete General Secondary Education”, 2020, Article 9). According to the “New Ukrainian School” Concept (2016), educational institutions should start work according to the State Standard of specialized secondary education no later than 2027. A gradual update of the regulatory and legal support of the educational process at the third level of complete secondary education, which should be based on theoretically grounded and practically proven provisions of modern pedagogy, are on time now. The article carries out thorough analysis and summarizes the main provisions of the legal framework, that is, the documents regulating the activities of educational institutions that have a license to conduct educational activities in the field of general secondary education.
