Abstract
The project activity of junior high school students was considered as a means of applying ecological knowledge in the lessons of the integrated course "I explore the world". The advantages of project activities, which contribute not only to the assimilation of theoretical knowledge, but also to the development of skills necessary for solving real practical problems, have been analyzed. The importance of combining the theoretical base with practical skills for the effective formation of environmental awareness and responsibility in the younger generation is emphasized. Developed and tested environmental project tasks are presented, which encourage students to take active actions to solve environmental problems in the environment.
