Abstract
The author of the article raises the issue of the importance of the competence approach, as it has become a defining vector for the development of geographical education in Ukraine and clearly testifies to the orientation of active learning of students and orientation to the personality of the student as a subject. teaching. An analysis of the implementation of competence training in geographic education was carried out, which is due to the need to develop a systematic approach to the content and pedagogical intelligence to the learning outcomes, which requires equal differences in the assessment of the subject geographic competencies of students.
