Abstract

The article explores the importance and necessity of using experimental research in the process of ensuring the educational process in the field of natural sciences education. Current trends aimed at identifying low results and disinterested participants in the national multi-­subject testing in natural science disciplines (biology, chemistry, physics) are considered. A number of researchers who reveal various approaches to the use of experiments in the educational process are highlighted. Examples of experimental research («Smoke without Fire», «Determination of Water Color», «Influence of Medicinal Preparations on the Growth and Development of Plants».) used in the professional training of future teachers under the educational programs «Secondary Education (Biology and Human Health)» and «Secondary Education (Natural Sciences)» at Hryhorii Skovoroda University in Pereiaslav are provided. The effectiveness of using experimental research methods (observation, experiments, modeling, etc.) to improve the quality of education in the field of natural sciences, develop critical thinking, creative skills, and practical abilities of education seekers is proven. Recommendations for improving educational programs for the professional training of teachers aimed at ensuring their readiness to use experimental methods in teaching natural science subjects in secondary education institutions are developed. It is proposed to include such disciplines as «Experimental Research in Natural Sciences Education», «Experimental Approaches in Teaching Natural Sciences Disciplines», «Techniques of School Experimentation in Natural Sciences Disciplines», «Chemistry of Food Products» etc. in the educational programs of the natural sciences education field.
