Abstract

This article examines the state of professional training of future history teachers in Ukrainian universities in the context of the digitalization of education. The author considers the current social-turbulent features caused by the introduction of martial law in Ukraine, considering the objective value reinterpretations and realizations of future history teachers’ mission in providing generations of descendants with historical experience and sketches of the modern modern history of the formation of Ukrainian sovereignty. Emphasis is placed on updating the problem of the national identity of future history teachers. The elements of the Swot-analysis of the professional training of future history teachers in the universities of Ukraine are presented. The experience of the Faculty of History of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv, in particular the Department of Contemporary History of Ukraine, where the author conducts his own pedagogical activities, is considered. Swot-analysis is based on the fulfillment of doctoral research tasks to identify the main factors and current requests that affect the quality of the educational process in the conditions of wartime realities, as well as factors that are predicted to cause certain transformational changes in the professional training of future history teachers in Ukrainian universities. The author analyzed the realities, identified threats, identified opportunities, and identified strategic vectors for the development of a system for training history teachers for general secondary education.
