Abstract

The methodological recommendations shed light on methods of primary identification of gifted education seekers (screening), which are based on a sequential, prolonged, purposeful observation of educational or extracurricular activities of children and youth by their mentors (teachers, educators, etc.) using a system of criteria developed by profile specialists for assessing signs of various types of giftedness (academic, intellectual, creative, organizational-leadership, practical). The results obtained from structured expert evaluation allow for the formation of approximate rankings of students and provide educators, parents, and education seekers with necessary information for constructing individual developmental trajectories of gifted individuals. These methodological recommendations are aimed at practical psychologists, educators, staff of educational institutions working with gifted children and students, as well as researchers, graduate students, students, and teachers of psychological and pedagogical disciplines.
