Abstract
The article reveals the peculiarities of obtaining specialised secondary education in the field of art. It is noted that the acquisition of specialised secondary education is guaranteed in an academic or professional direction. The educational process in an art lyceum consists of two components: general education, which provides complete general secondary education, and specialised art education, which provides primary and specialised art education. The educational process in an art lyceum is organised in accordance with the educational programmes of the art lyceum (including cross-cutting programmes), which are developed on the basis of standard educational programmes.
