Abstract
The article analyzes the problem of professional motivation of the future psychologist as a potential factor in achieving success in professional activities during the war. The determination of the dominant motivation was a carried out on a basis of a statistical analysis of the relationship between two categorical variables. A statistically significant relationship was found between the variables – dominant motivation and gender using the "Methodology for assessing personal qualities related to the understanding of humor", which made it possible to reveal the following results: the diagnostic theme "aggression-self-defense" is related to the motive of self-preservation – a quarter of all men, who took part in the study and only 4.3% of women gave priority to this motive related to aggression and self-defense to protect their interests, territory, physical safety or self-esteem, which is fully justified during military operations. Half of the studied male psychology students and 8.7% of female students chose the leading motive of the relationship between the sexes. A quarter of the studied men and 8.7% of the women chose the 3rd diagnostic topic "harmful habits", which can be associated with the motive of relaxation and stressor. No men and only 4.3% of women chose the 4th diagnostic topic "money", which reflects the desire for material well-being and financial stability in future psychologists. Almost every fifth woman chose the diagnostic topic "career". The leading motive of "career" in higher education students can be manifested in the desire to achieve professional success and promotion in the field of psychology. 39.1% of women preferred the diagnostic topic "social troubles", which may reflect the desire to avoid conflicts, breaks in relationships and troubles in the social environment. 17.4% of women chose the 10th diagnostic topic "human stupidity", which, accordingly, speaks of their dominant motive - knowledge, striving for the truth as an independent value, self-affirmation in the possession of true knowledge; they have almost no barriers and conventions in communication. The analysis of the methodology of personality diagnosis on motivation for success showed the following results: low motivation for success was not found among the studied higher education students; 41.9% of students showed average motivation for success; 51.6% of the respondents showed moderately high motivation and 6.5% - too high motivation for success. A statistically significant relationship between the variables motivation to succeed and the year of study was found and the corresponding analysis was made. A dispersion analysis of the dependence of motivation to success, dominant motivation and gender was carried out; dominant motivation and form of education; motivation for success, dominant motivation and year of study and characterized the given results.
