Abstract
The article summarizes and analyzes the information received by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in December 2023 regarding the foreign experience of organizing transportation of preschool children to preschool education institutions and back. The data of such work experience in 8 European countries and in the United States of America are given. The study of the issue took place in the con-text of solving the problems of practical implementation of the right to equal access to preschool education in Ukraine, primarily for children aged 5-6 years and children with physical disabilities. At the same time, the data of a previous study on monitoring the need for such pickups in Ukraine under the conditions of martial law were taken into account. Data are given on the age categories of children covered by transportation, methods of transportation, accompanying children by adults, payment for transportation services, transportation of children with limited physical abilities and disabled children. The US experience in organizing the safety of transportation by school buses is considered sep-arately. The information will be useful in the preparation of a package of regulatory and legal documents necessary for normalizing the organization of transportation of preschool children to educational institutions by special means of transport (school buses). In view of the significant losses of the national education system, in particular the destruc-tion of preschool education institutions and the destruction and theft of part of the school bus fleet during the occupa-tion of certain territories of Ukraine and hostilities, the obtained data will also be useful for establishing cooperation with partner countries, sponsors in the direction of current development and the post-war restoration of preschool education. Optimizing the transport of education seekers with the inclusion of one more category of them - children of preschool age - on the basis of foreign experience and taking into account their own capabilities will create positive prerequisites for a more successful integration of Ukraine into the world, first of all, European educational space.
