Abstract

The paper considers the European experience of developing transversal competencies in school education is considered. The concept of the concept of “transversal competencies or skills”. Currently, these are the skills that are are usually considered as skills that are not specifically related to a particular job, task, academic discipline, or field of study, but which can be used in a variety of situations and work environments. The key challenges of integrating transversal competencies into the educational process. In particular, it is emphasized that in the the educational process there is an urgent need to integrate transversal competencies in schools. It is concluded that transversal competencies are is a set of competencies and skills necessary for successful self-realization of the individual.
