Abstract
Systematic performance of homework experimental tasks allows students to gain significant experience in the practical application of cross-cutting skills that form the basis of key competencies. A home physical experiment can be performed in various ways: qualitative analysis of the experiment; measuring and solving an experimental problem; conducting a long-term study. Home experimental tasks using household appliances play a special role in the formation of competences in the field of natural sciences, engineering and technology. Completing such tasks makes it possible to form in schoolchildren the knowledge and skills necessary for understanding the functional purpose of technical devices and processes, using measuring devices, as well as the ability to plan and conduct independent experimental research.
