Abstract
The main goal of studying the discipline "Pedagogical mastery of scientific and pedagogical staff in higher education institutions" is the formation of students' needs for professional development, improvement of professional culture and pedagogical skill under the conditions of mastering the technologies of self-organization of pedagogical activity. The main tasks of studying the discipline "Pedagogical skill of a higher school teacher" are: - formation of students' pedagogical skill as a complex of teacher's personality properties, which ensures a high level of self-organization of pedagogical activity; - familiarization with the mechanisms of creative self-realization in professional activity and ways of professional self-improvement; - organization of professional and pedagogical activities as developing interaction; - familiarization with innovative pedagogical experience by creating a teacher's portfolio. Content of the discipline. The concept of pedagogical activity, its structure and specificity. The main directions and functions of the higher school teacher's activity. Requirements for higher school teachers, their rights and duties. Competency model of a scientific and pedagogical worker. The readiness of a teacher of a higher school for pedagogical activity. Self-education and self-education in the teacher training system. The concept of pedagogical skill. Elements of pedagogical skills. Criteria and levels of a teacher's pedagogical skills. The teacher's professional competence as the basis of his pedagogical skill. Abilities for pedagogical activity as an element of pedagogical skill. Forms and ways of increasing the level of pedagogical skills. Pedagogical technique as an element of pedagogical skill. Pedagogical abilities of a teacher of a higher school. The concept of "pedagogical technique". External and internal pedagogical technique of a higher school teacher. The essence of the concept of conflict and the classification of pedagogical conflicts. Pedagogical interaction. Forms of pedagogical interaction of participants in the educational process in the higher school system. Styles of pedagogical interaction. Conflicts in the pedagogical interaction of a higher school teacher, their functions and ways of resolution. The volume of the course is 120 hours, which corresponds to 4.0 ECTS credits. The form of final control is an exam.
