Abstract
The relevance is revealed in the fact that students are one of the most important links of society. They are the future of our country. The purpose of the article is to convey to the reader, namely to the employees of higher education institutions, that upbringing is an integral part of their work, without proper upbringing educated people graduate from universities but without proper manners and acceptable behavior. The content of the article is as follows. The definition of upbringing is provided, and to the extent that it is a complete system, it should function comprehensively, in combination with other systems, such as education. Three functions of upbringing are highlighted and it is shown how important they are. It has been proven that all levels of an educational institution should participate in upbringing. Also, the structural elements of the educational process management, such as the department and the curator, play a primary role in the education of students. The article describes how the department and the curator, together with the students, plan and manage some processes of the higher educational institution and what regulatory documents they are guided by in their activities, including upbringing ones. It is shown how the teacher's charisma and example for the younger generation affects the process of upbringing and what an important role it plays. The article highlights the opinions of sociologists on how upbringing is connected with sociology. Social institutions are described and how they relate to upbringing, and to what extent they play an important role in the life of society. The conditions of competence training are described. It is described how an educational institution falls under the category of a social institution and what are the signs of this. "Hard" and "soft" skills are described, what is the difference between them, and why "hard" skills are given more attention in educational institutions than "soft" ones. The article describes how important the teacher-student relationship is, how it should be genuine, without fake behavior. The article shows that there are so many layers of interaction in the process of upbringing between subjects and objects of the upbringing and educational process within the framework of a social institution. The list of activities that productively stimulate the process of upbringing in a higher educational institution is highlighted. In the perspective of research, there will always be a question of how to adapt the upbringing and educational process to each student, pupil, because they are all different, and it is necessary that the educational process suits everyone, and the teaching methods cover all types of character of the learning group, how was it done on the example of paying attention on different competencies.
