Abstract
In the article, an analysis of Vasyl Sukhomlynskyi's pedagogical development was carried out regarding the role of the teacher in shaping the social success of an individual. The key aspects of the development of social skills and competences of students are outlined, in particular, the importance of communication, collective interaction and the education of empathy is emphasized. The opinion of Vasyl Sukhomlynsky about the need to create a favorable educational environment in educational institutions to ensure the development of social skills and support the personal growth of students was studied.
