Abstract
The article emphasizes that educating high school students to value water resources is important and is an urgent problem today, as it concerns the preservation of natural resources and the future of our planet. Therefore, attention is focused on nurturing a valuable attitude to water resources in high school students, because this approach is especially important at this age, when students begin self-identification and form a stable system of values that will determine the meaning of their further life and future professional activity. A model of the method of education of the value attitude towards water resources of high school students has been developed, which consists of the following blocks: target (consists in defining the goal (education of the value attitude towards water resources of high school students) and tasks (1) substantiating the value attitude towards water resources of high school students 2) selection of effective forms, methods of education, methods of self-education; 3) organization of the work of the subjects of the educational process), content (includes the following system of values: universal, ecological, civic, national), methodological (application of approaches: axiological, personality-oriented, anthropological, activity), procedural (includes the following stages: motivational, informational, formative, activity; and corresponding methods and forms) and effective (achieving the set goal). It has been established that the integration of practical tasks, games and debates into the educational process can increase students' interest and understanding of the importance of water resources for humanity. Building learning on active practice, such as ecological excursions, conferences, thematic evenings, ecological quests shows a great potential for changing the behavior of students and fostering a valuable attitude towards water resources. In addition, it is important to include elements of independence and self-realization, for example, school and city competitions on environmental topics, which will inspire students to act and develop creativity.
