Abstract
The article describes the normative requirements for the position of director of a public kindergarten, primary school, secondary school and other types of public education institutions in Poland. It has been established that a person applying for the post of director of a State education institution except for pedagogical education and 5 years of experience in pedagogical or methodical work must have a managerial education. The comparative analysis of ways of obtaining such education: training at the first (bachelor) level of higher education in management; training at the second (master) level of higher education in the specialty; postgraduate training (postgraduate studios) on the program for the management of higher education institutions; qualification courses on the program for the management of education in teacher training institutions. The requirements to applicants, advantages and features of training in each of the 4 directions of obtaining future heads of education institutions of managerial education have been described. Based on the analysis of information from the portal for applicants otouczelnie.pl established that future education managers can be trained in Polish or English on a wide range of management bachelor programs lasting from 3 to 3,5 years or masters of 1.5 to 2 years in full-time, part-time or online forms of education at 57 State universities and 92 private universities in Poland. The focus is on the fact that each management program has its own characteristics and advantages namely goals, reasons for admission, duration of training, list of competencies for acquisition and employment areas. Based on the information from the portal studiapodyplomowe.info, a content analysis of postgraduate study programs of universities conducting postgraduate studies under the education management program was carried out. The model program and individual education programs on education management are characterized. The requirements to institutions of improvement of teachers which conduct qualification courses in education management and provide methodological support to heads of education institutions have been presented. Based on the study of the Polish experience ways to improve the training of education managers in Ukraine.
