Abstract

The essence of transformational processes in the field of reading activity of younger schoolchildren in the conditions of modern challenges is revealed. Emphasis is placed on the formation of a new type of readers; decrease in quality indicators of students' reading technique, reading comprehension, visual perception mechanisms, memory.
