Abstract

The new Ukrainian school envisages that students acquire not only subject competences but also key competences, including social ones. Cooperative learning makes it possible to develop students' teamwork, communication, and ability to express themselves and listen to others, to justify, persuade, discuss, present and reflect, and also contributes to increasing students' learning and cognitive activity, as it involves teaching each other and forming discussion groups, which is the most effective in learning.
