Abstract
The special course outlines the possibilities of using the experience of training food and processing industry specialists in vocational educational institutions of the western regions of Ukraine in the second half of the 20th - the beginning of the 21st century in modern conditions of modernization of professional (professional and technical) education. Directions for creating conditions for conducting activities to study the best regional experience in training specialists at a competitive level are indicated; cooperation of vocational education institutions and employers, involvement of representatives of industry enterprises in the development and use of software training materials in accordance with modern requirements, etc. The special course is prepared for trainees of advanced training of managerial and pedagogical personnel of professional (vocational and technical) education.
