Abstract
In the teaching of mathematics, a metasubject approach should be implemented, which is aimed at developing general methods, methods of activity that will contribute to the development of the ability to independently master mathematics, develop strategies, action plans for solving problems, as well as the successful study of other school subjects, solving tasks from various fields of activity. Gymnasium students get acquainted with the following general methods and methods of activity: analytical, synthetic, analytical-synthetic, proof from the opposite, methods of geometric transformations, algebraic, vector and coordinate methods, methods of summing up concepts and deriving consequences, giving counterexamples, etc.
