Abstract
The thematic section is devoted to the coverage of methodological approaches to the analysis of the problem of professional development of teaching staff in the field of adult education. The author focuses on the systemic, interdisciplinary, axiological, andragogical, acmeological, competence, synergistic, and integrative approaches. It is substantiated that methodological approaches to the analysis of the problem of professional development of teaching staff in the field of adult education are interrelated and interdependent, which contributes to ensuring the integrity of disclosing the problem of scientific research, formulating reasonable conclusions, developing prognostic scientific and methodological recommendations, etc. It is emphasized that methodological knowledge is a prerequisite for scientists to carry out research activities in the field of professionalization of adult education, the results of which are reflected in fundamental and applied research.
