Abstract

The article reveals the problem of the formation of creative abilities and professional competences of future designers during professional training in institutions of higher education. It is noted that attention to the development of design education is related to the innovative development of the country's economic system, where the value of design is determined by a change in the way of thinking in society, which forms a person's competence, which he can effectively use in any field. Considering the importance of the formation of design competence of the population, there is a need in society to create a design education model that would be flexible and enable the formation of the ability to generate new ideas. It was established that in design education, the normative content of the training of future designers is focused on the formation of the ability to generate ideas for the development of creative design proposals, to apply the basic concepts of visual communication in the artistic and cultural spheres, to possess artistic and artistic forms of social responsibility, to formulate the author's concept of the project; apply the methodology of conceptual design and carry out the design process taking into account modern technologies, critically analyze the artistic and design work of Ukrainian and foreign specialists, apply modern methods and technologies of scientific analysis, have a synthetic view of the history of the formation of modern visual culture. The main directions of the formation of creative abilities and professional competences of future designers are defined, in particular: stimulation of the research approach, free thinking, stimulation of the creative environment, use of modern technologies, development of the culture of observation. For the formation of creative abilities and professional competences of future designers, it is necessary to promote creative thinking, create a space for self-expression, conditions for collaboration and exchange of ideas.
