Abstract
The article reveals the theoretical foundations of the development of creative abilities of future designers during professional training in institutions of higher education. It was established that the leading idea of the theoretical foundations of the creative development of future designers in institutions of higher education consists in purposeful professional training, which is based on the conceptual foundations of scientific provisions of pedagogy, psychology, theory of creativity, laws and principles of the educational process in the field of art and design education and is implemented through the development and implementation of a quality training system that ensures the sustainable desire of future designers for professional self-realization, expansion of professional knowledge , creative abilities, skills, formation of professionally important creatively oriented qualities. It was revealed that the basis of the theoretical foundations of the creative development of future designers during professional training in institutions of higher education is laid by the humanistic, competence paradigms, lifelong education; ideas of national culture; philosophical and sociological concepts; theories of motivation, creativity, axiology, cultural studies; European trends in the development of design education; methodological approaches and modern requirements for the professional competence of future designers with aspirations for career growth. The methodological concept of the creative development of future designers during professional training in institutions of higher education reflects the relationship and interdependence of various approaches of general scientific and specific scientific methodology, on the basis of which the training of future designers is carried out It has been proven that the main directions of professional training of future designers for creative activity should be personally oriented and competence-oriented approaches in the organization of the educational process, relying on the creativity of students.
