Abstract
In the article, the authors present and interpret the main didactic- methodical provisions of the concept of the content of arabic language textbooks for secondary schools. The ideas that served as the scientific and theoretical foundations for the creation of the concept were revealed and substantiated. One of the authors of the article is the author of the textbooks in question. The authors of the article argue that the formation of intercultural foreign language communicative competence as the leading paradigm of the development of modern school foreign language education is the goal aimed by the activity of students and the teacher as a moderator of the educational process, which is carried out with the support of the textbook. The principles of constructing the content of Аrabic language textbooks are presented and their relevance is substantiated. Theoretical provisions are accompanied by examples of educational materials from the content of textbooks for grades 1–11, created by the co-author of the article.
